The
Manufacturing Incubator Facility
is intended to develop manufacturing businesses in Immokalee by offering
the "incubator" needed to assist start-up companies. The 10,000
sq. ft. building has a front office with a common Reception Lobby, Conference
Room, Bookkeepers Office, and a Business Services Room equipped with a
copier, fax machine, mail boxes, vending area, and coffee counter. Common
facilities also include a Tool Room stocked with equipment & tools,
and a quality control Calibration Lab.
The environment inside the Calibration Lab is designed with a Johnson Controls Metasys companion system, reheat, and humidification unit to control, maintain, and monitor constant low humidity levels at 68d F within a tolerance of 3d F. The Lab is used for tool calibration and quality control measurements using both high-tech laser devices and low-tech weights, scales, and calipers. Tenants can rent spaces ranging from 1,000 sq. ft. to 5,000 sq. ft. in area. Each bay is equipped with facilities needed for manufacturing, including isolated floor slabs, 3-phase power, air conditioning, larger overhead doors to the rear truck loading area, water and air lines, floor drains, and separate drains connected to an underground oil separator tank. Several bays are equipped with high voltage 3-phase bus bars for special equipment, high volume exhaust fans, and eye-wash stations.
